The ceremony held at the Accra International Conference Centre in Accra last week saw the “Africa” himaker bag the overall “Artiste of the Year” award on the night.

Trigmatic did the same: “Congrats sis. Well deserved.”

Jon Benjamin, on the other hand, described Wiyaala as a ‘huge international star’ but isn’t ‘appreciated at home [Ghana]’.

“Quite right too - @Wiyaala is a huge international star for Ghana, which is arguably something not fully realised and appreciated at home,” he tweeted.
