After Reggie N Bollie booked a place in the X Factor UK finale scheduled for the Wembley Arena, reports emerged that there are plans by the government to fly some Ghanaians to support the duo but the government has come out to deny such reports. The minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Elizabeth Ofosu-Agyare, in an interview with My Joy Online on Thursday (December 10), said “Even though I am wishing them well, even though I’m praying for them, there is no such intention of me and any delegation travelling to Wembley to watch it.”The minister explained that “In government business, everything must be planned before it happens. All the travels that will be done in 2016 are already planned in 2015 so if you are a minister, you can’t wake up one morning and say that something is interesting [so] you will travel and go and watch. There is no such plan. I don’t know where that is coming from and I think it’s the figment of someone’s imagination.”Even though there are no such plans, it was Madam Ofosu-Agyare’s hope that, “the Ghana High Commissioner will attend and give them the necessary moral support … but we are praying for them and wishing them well.”

Reggie N Bollie are hoping to make history by being the first Ghanaians to win the competition. They will have to beat off stiff competition from Louisa Johnson and Che Chesterman to make that dream a reality.
