Shatta Wale submits 2016 VGMA forms

Shatta Wale was accompanied by some members of his management team and filmmaker, Socrates Sarfo to submit his forms today, January 13.

Despite legal battle with Chatterhouse -- the organisers of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Shatta Wale has filed his nomination entry for the 17th edition of the awards ceremony.

Shatta Wale was accompanied by some members of his management team and filmmaker, Socrates Sarfo to submit his forms today, January 13.

Addressing the media, Shatta Wale stated that he submitted the forms because of his avid supporters asked him to do so.

"I did a lot of work last year and I submitted them (songs) because of my fans. My fans asked me to submit so that they can attend this year's VGMAs."

Touching on whether his forms were accepted by Chatterhouse or not, the 31-year-old singer said "it went well".

The Dancehall artiste, some years ago cautioned organisers of the annual Ghana Music Awards not to nominate him after they hauled him to court on charges of defamation.

Shatta in a series of videos accused Charterhouse of being corrupt, insulted the company and further warned them to stop denying musicians from other regions of Ghana the needed recognition; a case which is yet to be settled by the court.

Whether he will be nominated for this year's ceremony or not, we leave that to Chatterhouse Ghana Limted.
