I’ve changed! Don’t drop that verse I gave you if it’s been three years – Efya pleads

Ghanaian singer and song writer, Efya, has pleaded with her fellow artistes not to release any verse she did for them if it has been three years.

The award-winning singer feels she has greatly changed in that period. With that in mind, she thinks anyone she collaborated with in the said time should come for a “better verse”.

She posted on her Twitter that;

“PS:..!! If I did a verse for u n it’s past 3 years .!! PLS DONT DROP THAT SONG ..!! I AM DEFINITELY NOT the same person ..musically.. sonically..lyrically .kraaaa ma sesa..so do the right thing .. n come for the better verse from the NOW ME …or u n heaven go clear the song 🐉🙏🏽.”

The daughter of the famed Greetings From Abroad host, Nana Adwoa Awindor, has been quiet for a while now.

In an interview in December 2021, she said she was doing a lot of “learning and unlearning” regardless of how “weird” the two years preceding that year had been.

However, she expressed gratitude to God for her life as “so many people lost theirs.”

She implored her fans to keep supporting her craft as without them, her journey would have been incomplete.

“I’m grateful for life because so many people lost theirs, and we’re just grateful for the support of the fans, and you know, let’s keep it going. I will never stop,” she said.

The songstress assured her fans that 2022 will be an interesting and entertaining year for them.

“The thing is we’re working on something amazing, and as soon as it becomes what it is, you guys are going to love it...”

Efya first gained traction when she participated in the maiden edition of the Stars of the Future talent show.

Her vocal prowess won her the Best Female Vocal Performance category at the Ghana Music Awards in four consecutive years – starting 2011. Her ability to captivate her audience on the stage has been widely acclaimed, especially her performance at the 2013 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
