Iwan tries to fool his fans with fake Spotify 2018 Wrapped

While some top Ghanaian artistes are sharing the statistics for their 2018 Spotify streams, reggae/dancehall musician Iwan decided to bamboozle his fans.

A few days ago, Spotify released its 2018 Wrapped results for individual artistes which saw Sarkodie leading the Ghanaian fraternity with 9million streams. Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are next in line.

But Iwan tried to outsmart his fans by photoshopping his 2018 Wrapped result and ended up embarrassing himself.

The flyer he shared claimed he has ‘5k million fans’ across 59 countries. It also said he had ‘77k million minutes’ streams for the year 2018.

We believe you are confused about the ‘ks and millions’ attached to his numbers – it’s clear that it was photoshopped. But he proudly shared it on his page and even attacked at the media for not promoting him.

Even if the numbers he presented were true, checks on his Spotify account proves he is nowhere near the numbers.

Streaming statistics on his official Spotify account shows that he had 28 monthly listeners from San José, CR, 27 monthly listeners from Montreal, CA, 23 monthly listeners from London, GB, 19 monthly listeners from Stockholm, SE and 17 monthly listeners from Paris, FR for 2018.

If you combine these numbers, he would not earn up to 10,000 yearly streams.
