"Ciara’s new single is a complete rip-off of Usher’s ‘U Got It Bad'" says producer

The Hip-Hop producer says he will be contacting Ciara soon to get his credit for her new single.

The fever of copyright infringement has moved on from Marvin Gaye's family, and has caught up with successful Hip-Hop producer Jermaine Dupri.

The boss of So So Def believes Ciara's latest single 'I Bet' is a rip-off of 'U Got It Bad' by Usher. JD (as he is popularly known) told AP about how Ciara's song jacked from 'U Got It Bad'.

"Ciara’s new single is a complete rip-off of Usher’s ‘U Got It Bad.’ I’m clear on what I made and I’m clear on how music influences people and I’m clear on chord changes and how people move things. It might not be as evident as the ‘Blurred Lines’ situation, but I believe the same thing happened to me" he told AP.

The producer also said that Usher and Bryan-Michael Cox who worked on the song also have noticed the similarities. According to him they hope to receive their credit soon as they plan to reach Ciara soon.
