Rapper eyes "Songwriter of the Year" award with "Susuka"

Kofi Kinaata has also expressed his interest in the "Songwriter of the Year" category at this year's Vodafone Ghana Music Awards with his inspirational song "Susuka".

In an interview with DJ Murphy Lee's 'Entertainment Xtra" on Sunyani based Storm 101.9 FM, the 'Fante Rap God' said he is hoping for so many categories but the one he tips most important is the "Songwriter Song of the Year" award.

"The categories are many of which I am hoping for. I can talk of Record of the Year, Hiplife/Highlife song of the Year, Rapper of the Year, Popular song of the Year but the one I tip most is the Songwriter Song of the Year," says Kinaata.

Kofi Kinaata has been on the necks of the organizers of the music awards Charterhouse, with his songs "Susuka" and "The Crusade" with Donzy which he thinks should win an award this year.

This year's music awards has been slated for May.
