Let’s support Patapaa; he’s talented – Kofi Kinaata

Hiplife musician Kofi Kinaata has described fellow artiste Patapaa as unique, insisting Ghanaians must support him to succeed.

Let’s support Patapaa; he’s talented – Kofi Kinaata

Kinaata believes it is unfair to tag Patapaa’s songs as either ‘senseless’ or ‘noisy’ when songs of the same calibre from foreigners are entertained.

According to him, the Swedru-based artiste is doing great in his own way and his talents need to be given a push.

“I hate it when Ghanaians go hard on Patapaa because every musician is unique in his own way,” Kinaata said, as quoted by the Graphic Showbiz.

“If Ghanaians could enjoy a song like Man's Not Hot by Michael Dapaah (BIG SHAQ) who didn’t really say anything in the song, then I don’t see why they should find fault with Patapaa.”

“I hear he built a four-bedroom house with the money from One Corner and this is a guy who always rocks the stage. The earlier, we support him the better.”

Patapaa has been one of the hottest musicians in Ghana, having graced numerous shows since emerging on the scene.

The ‘One-corner’ hit maker was nominated for the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, and also scooped the Most Popular Song award at the 3Music awards that same year.

He also had the highlight of his career, after being selected to perform at last year’s Ghana Meets Naija Concert, alongside continental greats like Wizkid, Tiwa Savage and Stonebwoy.

Kofi Kinaata further revealed that he would have no problem collaborating with Patapaa on a song.

“Some musicians will not be comfortable featuring Patapaa on their songs but I wouldn’t have problems at all featuring him. Once I direct him on what he should do on the song we are good to go,” he added.
