MUSIGA presidency: Appietus shocked at delegates

The election held at the Eastern Regional capital, Koforidua on Saturday saw incumbent Bice Osei Kufour (Obour) win by 88 votes while Gyedu Blay Ambolley placed second with 22 votes.

Record producer, Appiah Dankwa popularly known as Appietus is shocked he polled 18 votes at the just ended Musician Union of Ghana presidential race.

The election held at the Eastern Regional capital, Koforidua on Saturday saw incumbent Bice Osei Kufour (Obour) win by 88 votes while Gyedu Blay Ambolley placed second with 22 votes.

Although Appietus has conceded defeat, he believes the delegates let him down considering how they appeared to have accepted his message.

“The election was free and fair but fear delegates,” he said on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review show.

Appietus congratulated Obour for winning the election on the second term.

“He worked harder. He deserves it. The margin shows the people bought his manifesto. Congrats to Obour. He’s done well. I gave them my vision but they decided to give their mandate to Obour,” he said.

When asked if he would consider contesting next four years, Appietus said he would consult his team.

“I can’t decide at this moment. I have people I work with,” the beat maker said.
