Ne-Yo has been given the task to write new music with Timbaland for Season Two of Empire, Fox has announced.

Fox also announced yesterday (May 11) that Season Two of Empire will feature guest appearances from a number of celebrities including Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz and Chris Rock, among other famous names to be announced later.
Courtney Love had a recurring role in Season One as Elle Dallas, a drug-addicted rock star on the comeback trail, while Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Rita Ora, Gladys Knight, Estelle and Patti LaBelle all made guest appearances during the season.Season Two of Empire will feature 18 episodes - six more than Season One - with the first nine to air on Fox this autumn, and the second nine to follow after a mid-season cliffhanger in spring 2016.
