Ghanaian award-winning rap artiste, Pappy Kojo, has responded to critics who mocked him over his loss at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

After the annual VGMAs, some fans and critics took to social media to express their views about the rapper's style and weakness in rap music which they think constituted to his loss. Some even suggested that, the Ameyaw Debrah Media label artiste only deserves awards organised in Senior High Schools because that is where his fan base's strength lies.

However, in response to these criticisms, Pappy Kojo revealed on Live FM on Monday (May 16) that 'it is very cool if my fans are kids.'

"It is very cool if my fans are kids. My favorite artiste ever is Michael Jackson and I have two tattoos of him. His fans were the kids and he was in love with them and that’s what I always pray for," he said.

"Look, I was a kid when I fell in love with Obrafuor and I'm still here loving Obrafuor...so there’s nothing wrong with that one and I Pappy Kojo know that my core fans are the kids," the "Ay3 Late" hitmaker added.

He also disclosed that he expected the mockery after he loss in the first two nominations and his management and himself were monitoring everything that was happening on Twitter as they sat in the Accra International Conference Centre auditorium.

Pappy Kojo has been billed to perform at this year’s Ghana Meets Naija on the May 21, 2016, where he comes face to face with Harry Song.
