Who wins what at 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Award?

In anticipation of the 17th edition of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards on May 7, Pulse.com.gh music editor, David Mawuli, has made predictions across 24 nomination categories.

It’s another year of intense rivalry and controversy over who deserves what at the annual Ghana Music Awards ceremony. The credibility of the awards scheme in recent times has been ruined by controversies and lack of transparency.

Aside sidelining one of the country’s biggest act, Shatta Wale, many music lovers have been constantly bashing the nomination board and even threatening to boycott the main ceremony.

On Monday, May 2, singer Adomaa beat competition from Nii Funny, Feli Nuna, Ebony Reigns, Perez and Wan O to win the “Unsung Artiste” award ahead of the main event. The announcement which was transmitted live also sparked another controversy because majority thought Nii Funny deserved it.

In anticipation of the 17th edition of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards on May 7, Pulse.com.gh music editor, David Mawuli, has made predictions across 24 nomination categories.
