Bisa Kdei

Ronald Kwaku Dei Appiah popularly known as Bisa Kdei was born on the 19 of March 1986. He hails from Larteh a suburb of Mampong in the Eastern Region of Ghana. He is the third son out of four children of his parents. He began his education at the Christian Valley International School and continued to the Accra Technical Training College.

He grew up listening to the biggest names Ghana has ever produced from the likes of Nana Ampadu, J.E Adorfu, Osibisa and the list goes on.  He began his career as a rapper at the age of thirteen but made a switch to into singing professionally when he was fifteen years old. BISA (Boys In Serious Action) started off as a group but after some time decided to embark on their own solo projects.

Bisa Kdei was brought into the limelight with his ‘Azonto Ghost’ hit track and after that, he has had countless of hit to his credit such as ‘Metanfo’, ‘Over’, ‘Madanfo’, ‘Love letter’, ‘Give it to Baba’, ‘Odo Carpenter’, and his latest ‘Mansa’ which is doing extremely well. On 21 December 2013, he launched a 16 track album which did really great on the market. At the 2012 Ghana Movie Awards and Kumasi Based Movie Awards, he won the ‘Best Movie Soundtrack of the Year’.

He was also nominated in the 2013 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in the category ‘Best Hip life song of the Year’ and also grabbed four nominations in the 2013 MTN 4Syte Music Video Awards in the categories ‘Best Storyline video, ‘Best hip life video’, ‘Best highlife video’, and ‘Best discovery video’.

Bisa Kdei is a song writer sound engineer.  His popular quote in life has always been ‘Slow Motion Is Better than No Motion’. Bisa Kdei has come a long way as far as music in concerned in these few years that he has come into mainstream; he has been able to touch the hearts and lives of many with his inspiring music. With his tireless efforts he hopes to transform lives not only in Africa but the rest of the world.

Bisa Kdei unfortunately lost his mum just after his latest single;’ Mansa’ was released in the middle of 2015. He has featured many artistes like Sarkodie, Obrafour, Nii Odoi and Keche.
