We are done with the best sounds of the year so now, let’s deal with the best visuals for the sounds we enjoy most.
This year, the Ghana Music industry witnessed dramatic transition from somewhat one direction and too local visuals to international standardised visuals – a massive improvement that has earned Ghanaian musicians some international recognition.
We are about to witness best photography, pictures, choreography, storyline, special effect or/and best directed music videos of the year, 2014. Location however is very vital in our list – be it local or international. The music videos that were released from the beginning of this year to the last quarter of this year are on our top list and as a matter of fact, they sailed very high.
Commencing with our top 10 best music videos of the year is Castro’s “Seihor” featuring Black Avenue Muzik’s boss, D-Black. The video so far has one of the best and energetic choreographic performances including best picture quality amongst all the music videos released this year. It has received a massive airplay on all the local television stations and some international screens. However, the video has received closed to 1 million views on youtube.
The next video is Fuse ODG’s “Dangerous Love” featuring Sean Paul. The African costume used is radiant, awesome choreography display, the club scene is gripping, location is appetizing, best storyline, and models hot and sexy. The video has received an overwhelming 3 million plus views on youtube.
The other videos in our top chart included Edem’s “The One Remix” featuring Sway, VVIP’s “Selfie”, 4x4’s “Baby Dance” featuring Davido, Sarkodie’s “Adonai Remix” featuring Castro and “Special Someone” featuring Burna Boy & AKA, Becca’s “Move” featuring Uhuru, E.L’s “Ayayaa” and Guru’s “Mpaebo”.
These videos have made real impacts on the music scene this year in terms of editing, directing, choreography, storyline, etc. Only ‘Oliver Twist’ can dare to ask for more from these videos.
