Reggae/dancehall artiste Samini has boldly claimed that he is the most relevant artiste among all those who began doing music in his era.

The “My Own” hit maker began his music career in 1999 and has continued to make waves in the industry till date.

Samini has also won many awards in the process, including the Headies, MOBO, Channel O and MTV Africa Music Awards.

In a Twitter post, the High Grade Family record label boss touted himself as the most relevant and consistent artiste from his era.

He said he has reigned from the 90s and is still standing tall among the current generation of Ghanaian musicians.

“I’m the most consistent and the most relevant from my era. Still on top form. Still playing top 4,” Samini wrote.

“We Dey before dem start crawl. I’m your favourite artist’s inspiration, if only he would tell you the truth lol. I guess not. However, I’m the baddest from the 90s still skanking.”

While this tweet divided opinions among some fans, fellow dancehall artiste Stonebwoy stepped in to back Samini.

The “Top Skanka” hit maker wrote: “Irrespective of whatever! No one touches the order!! Legendary.”
