Top 10 Songs Of 2014

Here is our list of Top 10 songs of the year 2014.

Pulse Ghana brings to you our first compilation of top 10 songs that moved the music industry this year.  These songs have been slammed on streets, lounges, pubs, clubs and ceremonies.

Starting with our list is Castro’s “Seihor” featuring D-Black. A song produced by DJ Breezy. Born Theophilus Tagoe, the popular Hiplifemusician who went missing early July with a female companion, Janet Bandu, while surfing the waves at Ada in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana have really missed his greatest career success this year. His sudden disappearance created a huge controversy and at the same time exposed some of his hottest singles on the music scene. More grease to his elbow!

The second on our ranking is Sarkodie’s “Adonai” remix featuring Castro. One of the hottest singles on the scene that always sounds fresh since its release in January this year. His consistent new releases and follow-ups almost earned him two spots with “M3gye Wo Girl” on our end of year ranking.

Bisa K’dei’s “Odo Carpenter” is no doubt another record of the year. His smashing lyrics on the song earned him respect from music pundits, radio DJs and fans all over the world.

Another record of the year is DL’s “Yentie Obiaa”. The song that caused political disambiguation when President John Mahama boogied to it in Kumasi; his opponent’s stronghold and apparently bashing it on a trailer leading his convoy.

Leading gospel songs in the industry is quiet a bizarre but for some time now, a gospel song trended in the industry throughout the year—talking about Emelia Arthur’s “Kyere Me Kwan” featuring OJ and Esther Smith.

A couple of latest hit singles like “Baafira” performed by Stonebwoy, “Lobi” by R2bees, “Realer No” by Pappy Kojo featuring Joey B , “M3gye Wo Girl” by Sarkodie featuring Shatta Wale, etc are really making some impacts but we are afraid their performances can’t be measured at this time since they were released very late.
