Ghanaian/American Hip-hop recording artiste and producer Victor Kwesi Mensah better known by his stage name Vic Mensa is the newest member of the Roc Nation Records as he inked a new deal with the record label yesterday (April 21).

The Chicago rapper made it official announcement via a video which premiered on online streaming site TIDAL. The video showed the 21-year-old Savemoney co-founder signing the deal with TIDAL owner, Jay Z.

Vic joins a prestigious list of artistes on Roc Nation including Jay Z, Kanye West, and Rihanna.

“It feels astounding just to be in a family tree like that, from Jay Z to Kanye West to J. Cole." “I look up to all of them dudes. It gives me chills almost. Everything that I’ve done for so long is what’s [brought] me to this point. And this is only the beginning, " said Vic.

Jay Z celebrated his signing with shots. “Welcome. Let’s kill shit,” he told him.

Mensa has been building his buzz with his 2010 debut mixtape Straight Up and 2013’s INNANETAPE, which helped earn him a spot on XXL's 2014 Freshman Class.

To celebrate the announcement, he got a Roc-A-Fella Records logo tatted on his neck and posted the picture on Twitter with the caption “Savemoney Roc Boys.”

Following his deal was a new single release he titles "U Mad" which features Kanye West. Pulse.com.gh will drop it soon.
