Born Reginald Yaw Asante Ossei, Reggie Rockstone is the Godfather of hiplife.

He was born in the United Kingdom and returned to Ghana in 1994.

In the interview with the CNN Africa, Reggie revealed that he is bilingual but decided to rap and sing in Twi to inspire a whole new generation.

Reggie Rockstone's studio was built by his father, fashion designer, Ricky Ossei (Saint Ossei) and the place has hosted many African celebrities.

In 2004, the hiplife Grandpapa performed with Shaggy in front of 50,000 audience.

He recorded a track dubbed "Chukku Chakka" with the Jamaican Dancehall singer, Beenie Man.
