“It makes me as well as my fans feel disrespected and violated……” - Burna Boy said when asked about how he felt about the flopping of his show on Friday, April 24, 2015 on Yfm's YCE show, Ghana’s premiere youth urban radio..

The timelines of fans of Burna Boy on Twitter were literally flooded with insults when they took to social media to express their displeasure for the musician’s disappearing acts. In the wee hours of Saturday, when he and some artistes didn’t attend nor perform at the much anticipated yet under publicized “Don Gordon Concert” at Accra Trade Fair Centre. The ‘Yawa Dey' singer together with his ally AKA took to radio to clear the air on the issue.

“The least I would expect from the organisers is to at least promote the show, and to do things that they’re supposed to do,” the embittered musician said. “I don’t know if it’s some kind of curse or not, because every time I come to Ghana, things don’t go as planned.”

Hosted on Yfm by Joel Orleans on the Y-Campus Express show yesterday, the duo blamed the unfortunate no-show on the organisers; Hip Jam and Spaceship Entertainment who failed to publicize and promote the show.

To clear the air, Burna Boy stated emphatically that he was not to blame for the poor organization on the part of the organizers who he didn't even know. Rolling back, reports had it that only a handful of people numbering about 40 were at the concert as at 2am, which surprised many, due to the line up of top artistes like Stonebwoy, the Ghana Music awards 2015 Artiste of the year, Sarkordie, AKA, and so on.

When asked about what he has to tell his fans by the host, Joel Orleans, he said, “I’M SORRY and really apologize for everything; and however possible I can make it up to them, I will.” Joel commended Burna and AKA for the step taking to clear up the issue.

“South Africa is a peaceful country and the people are very hospitable, so it's unfortunate that the conduct of a few people damages the reputation of a country.” -  words of AKA, the award winning South African rapper who took the opportunity to debunk people’s notion about his country due to the recent xenophobic attacks. He also dropped hints of another collaboration with Sarkodie, titled ‘Sunshine,’ while Burna Boy spoke about his deal with Universal Records and the release of his new album.
