Alhaji arrested for duping woman during "one-month sex deliverance"

A magistrate’s court in Nigeria has remanded a 26-year old self acclaimed Islamic scholar, Alfa Babatunde Samuel into prison custody after he was arraigned for allegedly duping an unsuspecting woman of N500,000 in a “one-month sex deliverance”.

The incident happened at Jofolo Street in Iyana Ipaja area of Abule-Oke where the suspect allegedly subjected the victim to continuous sexual intercourse which was meant to last for one month, but police got wind of the entire ploy and arrested Alfa Babatunde Samuel.

According to reports, the suspect convinced his victim that he had seen death hanging over her life and she needed deliverance to avert the misfortune.

He then scheduled and held a meeting with the victim in which he gave her the conditions for the so-called deliverance which included sex for a whole one month and N500, 000 in order to cast out the said evil spirit.

P.M. EXPRESS reported that the victim got the money Alfa Babatunde Samuel had requested for from her sister, hoping that she was going to be delivered from the ‘imminent evil’ that was supposedly going to plague her family.

When she appeared before the court presided over by Mrs. J.O.E. Adeyemi Ajayi, Smuel pleaded not guilty.

He was granted bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum who are expected to deposit another N100,000 into the Court Registrar’s account as part of the bail conditions before the release of the suspect.
