According to reports, Mary Wangari ’s beef was that her husband’s murderer who turned in himself to the police was released from custody that same day.

Reports say 33 year-old Edward Mwangi was found murdered in a farm in Wanyororo B area in Bahati after being stabbed eight times on December 3, 2018.

Surprisingly, a certain man turned in himself to the police and confessed to killing the deceased. He even reportedly handed over to them the knife he had used to commit the bloody murder.

The suspected murderer is reported to have accused the father of two and footballer in a local club of dating his wife, for which reason he allegedly killed him.

When a group of residents dug a grave at the Wanyororo cemetery on Thursday to pave way for the burial of her deceased, his widow, Mary Wangari led a group of friends and relatives in a protest to demand rearrest of the suspect before the burial could proceed.

“We will not allow the funeral to take place until we get an explanation why the main suspect was released,” said the widow.

It is not clear yet how the matter was eventually resolved. More information soon.
