“He has been arrested and I asked him what actually happened and he said the small boy was rather trying to slash him with a cutlass but he was fast enough to collect the cutlass from him and used the cutlass by cutting him into pieces,” he narrated.

Last week, the body of the 10-year-old boy, Kobey Bagbeseh who hails from Banu in the Sissala East District was found in the bush with the head, the left arm and the two feet missing. He is believed to have been murdered when he and his 8-year-old brother, Ben Bagbeseh accompanied their father, Abugu Bagbeseh, to the farm.

The younger brother of the deceased told the father that he saw a man suspected to be insane came to the farm, snatched the deceased brother’s cutlass and dashed into the bush.

The boy said his deceased brother chased him into the bush in an attempt to collect the cutlass which landed him to his fate.

The five people who were arrested earlier in connection with the murder have been granted bail, after the Police had the information that the actual perpetrator who murdered the small boy had been found near the Navrongo-Bolga road.
