A Western Australian father has been jailed for 13-and-a-half years after sexually abusing his teenage daughter when his partner left him.

The 44-year-old, who cannot be identified to protect the victim's identity, was sentenced in Perth's District Court for offences that took place between 2013 and last year in Kununurra, 40 kilometres from the Northern Territory border.
The man was arrested after being found naked in the same bed as his daughter last year, Perth Now reported.
Details of their relationship emerged, as it was revealed the pair began having sex in 2013 when his partner and other children had left their home.

The man would also often film their sexual encounters.
He was charged with a range of offences including multiple counts of sexual penetration of a child and the possession of child exploitation material and pleaded guilty to 10.
