Underground Musician Plots To Kill Manager For Terminating His Contract
The Musician and his 26 year old unemployed conspired to kill his manager when he no longer expressed interest in managing him.
Young Soul, whose real name is Tejeh Terry, and Simon, pleaded not guilty to the charge of conspiracy to commit crime (to wit murder) and have been remanded in police custody to reappear on March 30, 2015, Graphic Online Reports.
Presenting the facts of the case to the court, the prosecutor, ACP Yirenkye, said the police had information that two men at Madina wanted fire arms to kill someone.
According to the information, Young Soul allegedly wanted to kill his manager, Nana Nyarko Afriyie, for terminating a contract between them.
ACP Yirenkye said the police feigned interest and offered to hire pistols to them on condition that the weapons would only be handed over to them in their target’s house and taken back immediately after the job was done.
The accused persons agreed and met a detective who had the weapons in a taxi heading towards the target’s house.
ACP Yirenkye said the suspects demanded to see the weapon and the detective showed them an unserviceable pistol without ammunition.
Young Soul and Simon were arrested when they were almost at their target’s house.
According to prosecution, during investigation, it came to light that Young Soul was being managed by their target, Afriyie.
A two-year contract which was signed between them wasn’t favourable to Afriyie so he terminated the contract to the annoyance of Young Soul.
As a result Young Soul hired the services of Simon to help him eliminate Afriyie.
Investigations also revealed that Young Soul and Simon also planned to steal the flat screen TV sets, cars and other valuables in Afriyie’s house and set the house ablaze, Graphic online reported.
