It was a sad end for a 27-year-old lady, Ladi Moses, who died a few days after her boyfriend identified as Baba, bathed her with acid because she called off their relationship, reports Vanguard.

A young lady who was bathed with acid by her boyfriend because she dumped him has died.

The lady who died at the Federal Medical Center, Makurdi, Benue State, where she was receiving treatment for the first degree burns she sustained in the attack, could not survive it.
It was gathered that Moses was bathed with the acid by Baba at the Old Nigeria Prison Yard. Wadata area of Makurdi town where she lived with her parents because she wanted out of a relationship she did not see future in.

A family member narrated how Moses was attacked by the suspect who is now cooling his heels in the cell of the State Police Command.
“Ladi was in the house when Baba sent for her. When the lady approached him, Baba removed a bottle, containing substance suspected to be acid, from his pocket and poured it on the lady, who screamed and fell.
As neighbours trooped out to see what was happening, Baba fled. The vigilante group in the area mounted a search for him. He was eventually caught at one of the motor parks in town, when he was about boarding a taxi out of Makurdi.
He was subsequently handed over to the police at ‘A’ Division, Wadata, where he is being detained for interrogation.”
