La Police have launched a manhunt for a prisoner who escaped from police escort on Wednesday Morning while returning from the court, Starr Fm reports The prisoner reportedly jumped into a lagoon close to the Labadi Beach Hotel, from a taxi that was being used to convey him.The police officer who was accompanying him was reportedly unarmed at the time of the prisoner escape.An eyewitness who narrated the incident to Starr News said the Taxi Driver slowed down when he got to a newly constructed bridge close to the Labadi beach hotel, making it possible for the prisoner to jump out of the taxi and escape.He added that he escaped through a nearby bush before jumping into a lagoon. He said some people from the community have joined in the manhunt to re-arrest the fugitive prisoner.
