The ugly incident took place in Byazhin village, Kubwa, a satellite town of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

Chinonso's sad mother reported that he actually left a suicide note saying he wanted to go and rest, begging her to forgive him for his inability to measure up to her high expectations of him.

The suicide note he allegedly dropped read in part:

“It is a pity I did not meet up to your expectations, but I had to go this way so I can have rest. Please forgive me mum.”

According to a family source, the mother was not around on the day and only came back home to meet the dead body of her son and the note on the table. After she raised an alarm, neighbours helped her to rush him to the Kubwa General Hospital where he was confirmed dead and his remains deposited at the mortuary.
