Man docked for allegedly assaulting police officer
The accused is facing a three-count charge bordering on assault and breach of public peace.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Fagboyinbo Abiodun, told the court that the accused committed the offences on May 10 at about 10: 00 a.m. at Isala-Oja, Oba Ile area, Osogbo.
Abiodun said that the accused conducted himself in a manner likely to cause breach of public peace.
“The accused shouted thief, thief, on the police officer after he was caught with dangerous weapons by Insp. Bamidele Ikudaisi,’’ he said.
The prosecutor said the accused was caught with Jack knife and various charms by Insp. Ikudaisi.
The offences contravened Sections 516, 249(d) and 355 of the Criminal Code, Cap 34, Vol.11, Laws of Osun, 2003.The accused pleaded not guilty.
Counsel to the accused, Mr Okobie Najite, prayed the court to grant his client bail in the most liberal terms.
The Magistrate, Mr Olusola Aluko, granted the accused bail in the sum of N100,000 and two sureties in the like sum.
Aluko ordered that the sureties must reside within the court’s jurisdiction with evidence of tax payment and two passport size photographs attached with an affidavit of means.
The case was adjourned to December 16 for mention.
