Sleeping drunk falls off roof, sleeps through ordeal

A man was rescued by fire crews after falling off a wall but slept through the entire ordeal.

A 20-stone drinker was rescued by fire crews after falling off a 12ft wall on Saturday (09.05.15) but slept through the entire 30 minute ordeal, outside the Dusty Miller pub in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. The six foot tall man, who weighs 20 stone, was drunk at the time of the incident and is said to have remained unconscious while he was rescued and taken to the Huddersfield Royal Infirmary hospital. Firefighter Shane Byrne told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It was amazing, he didn't open his eyes the whole time and just carried on snoring during the rescue which took around half an hour."When we got there we had to cut down a number of trees and force a really old iron gate open."
