Bank robber arrested after he was seen sharing his opinion in a TV interview
Eric Rivers had been on police wanted list for some time following some of his robbery incidents which were captured on CCTV cameras. The TV interview then led to his arrest.
He had been on police wanted list for some time following some of his robbery incidents which were captured on CCTV cameras, but his name was obviously missing from the footages.
However, police said they were taken aback when they saw him in the interview confidently mention his name as if he had nothing to fear.
The law enforcers then contacted the news reporter who interviewed Rivers and he was subsequently apprehended.
After the arrest, the local police department posted on its Facebook page jokingly that, "When after having robbed several banks and you are at another bank casing the place for an additional robbery and are approached by a news crew in the parking lot ... DO NOT stop and agree to an interview with said news crew."
