One cannot help but sympathise with the plight of Menzgold customers, after all, coming by money is no joke. But the theme song at their latest demonstration against the company would surely turn up the corners of your mouth.

Dancing to the trendiest gospel song and dressed in the usual warfare red and black ensemble, throngs of Menzgold customers marched from Obra Spot through the streets of Accra before finally converging at the Accra Hearts of Oak Park.

There they poured out their hearts concerning the maltreatment being meted out to them by the gold dealership. According to them, they deserved better treatment after being so loyal to the company.

They also pleaded with the government to intervene to get Menzgold to repay their principals and even offered to waive off their accumulated interests.

Menzgold still battles out legalities with the authorities after it was discovered there were not licensed to operate. This lead to a temporary shutdown which prolonged after the company dragged the Central Bank and SEC to court for interfering in their business.
