Anti-Homosexual Riots Led To Death Of St. Paul's SHS Student

Two students have been arrested for starting an anti-homosexual riot after their mates were caught in alleged sodomy at St. Pauls SHS in Volta Region

According to Sources at around 9pm Friday night, when the lights had gone off, some students claimed they caught the two students in an alleged homosexual act.

They raised an alarm, attracting other students to the scene, who pursued the alleged duo.This brought the school usually peaceful into a den of chaos and violence after some teachers were said to be shielding the gays from being lynched.

The angry students attacked the teacher's bungalow, shattered the windscreen's of cars and destroyed other properties of the school.The police were called in to restore law and order but the situation degenerated.In an attempt to disperse the rampaging students, the police fired warning shots, of which one of the stray bullet accidentally hit the head  of the first year students who has since been confirmed dead.

It is not yet confirm if the two arrested students will be prosecuted.

Meanwhile the parents of deceased Adio Rahkee, 14, a Moslem, are demanding the body for immediate burial in accordance with the Moslem tradition.
