Gigi in a video posted on Twitter alleged that Mutombo requested for sex which she declined after he "voluntarily booked" for her hotel.
Mutombo wanted sex- 'year of return' lady accuses Ghanaian poet
A woman accused by Ghanaian poet, Mutombo, of nearly scamming him has responded to his allegations.
According to her, she would have paid for everything but she only had dollars and not cedis.
She also noted in her video that Mutombo kept saying “I got it” when he paid for her hotel and some stuff she got at the pharmacy. "So in America when some says I got it that means I will take care of it as a gift," she said.
Mutombo's account of what transpired between them noted that when Gigi arrived in Ghana, he picked her at the airport and later drove her to the pharmacy where she bought anti-malarial pills, mosquito repellent and soap but did not have cedis to pay for her the drugs.
The Ghanaian poet emphasized that out of willingness to help the stranded girl, who didn't have anyone to pick her at the airport, he opted to pay for her purchases with the view that the, Gigi, whom he met online, will pay back his money when she finally changes her money to Ghanaian currency.
In a long thread, the Ghanaian poet revealed that he paid for the hotel bills of the lady and got her food, based on Gigi's pledge to repay him, adding that the expenditure he made on Gigi in total amounted to about GHC320.
However, according to Mutombo, Gigi later shockingly denied to pay him and blocked him on social media after he asked her about the money, forcing him to devise a strategy with his friends to get Gigi busted to pay his money. "I have decided to decline your request," Gigi said in a screenshot shared by Mutombo.
After narrating this encounter with Gigi on his twitter account, a video popped up later with Gigi explaining her side of the story, claiming that Mutombo had sexual intentions towards her and that's why she blocked him on her social media accounts.
Her response has infuriated the Ghanaian poet, who vehemently denied her claims and proceeded to report the case at the police station. See his tweet below which has ignited the discussion of the incident on twitter with diverse opinions from tweeps.
