Teacher arrested after student filmed her allegedly sniffing cocaine in classroom

24-year-old Samantha Cox was led away in handcuff after she was filmed by a student allegedly sniffing cocaine in an empty classroom.

According to thesun.co.uk, Will Rogers was waiting in a corridor to attend a class which was due to start at 10 am when he noticed the teacher acting strangely. The boy decided to film the scene with his phone and after watching the video several times, it became clear that Samantha Cox was actually consuming drugs.

The video was circulated among the 3,400 student body and eventually the school’s principal got to know of it.

A report was made to the police and the said teacher was arrested and marched to the police station where she was charged with possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia.

She was subsequently released on bail.

The whistleblower said “When I actually watched the footage again and again and I just realized that my english teacher just did cocaine [sic].”

Police said in a statement that “School officials and police want to recognise and praise the student witnesses that brought this information to the attention of the principal very quickly.

“Their actions showed a tremendous amount of fortitude and integrity, and enabled staff to address this situation promptly.”
