The funeral service sector has seemingly adopted a new method of preserving corpses.

The trend of burying the dead in life-like positions has long been practised in some European nations and the Americas, but it seems to now be catching on in Ghana.

For the burial of former Ghanaian Black Stars footballer George Arthur, who died in June, this was the way the family decided to go.

King George, as he was fondly called, suffered a heart attack while playing a game of draughts with his friends, and died upon arrival at Sunyani government hospital.

He is seen in a video embalmed while standing. The deceased Ghana striker George Arthur was buried on September 5.
