The 35-year-old Adesoye, an indigene of Akure, Ondo State, had allegedly prophesied to the teenager that she had a spiritual husband who usually had sex with her in the night, thereby causing stagnation in her career and that she had to undergo a spiritual assignment to set her free.

Taken by the supposed man of God's assurance that she really needed spiritual fortifications to fight the battles of life, the young girl accepted to undergo the assignment believing it would be through prayers alone, little did she know there were strings attached to the deliverance.

But she was shocked when Adesoye told her the deliverance service included anointing her private parts and having sex with her to completely free her from the hold of the spirit husband, aside collecting the sum of N25,000 from her and warning her that any attempt to back out of the deal would be disastrous for her future.

The victim accepted to go through the deliverance as well as paying him the agreed sum and even gave him two phones as gifts.

It was gathered that Adesoye took the young nurse to a popular hotel located at Abule Odu in Egbeda area where he had sex with her several times and that after the sex romp, he allegedly gave her a black soap to use to take her bath everyday.

When she did not notice any change in her fortune, the victim reported the issue to her parents who reported the matter to the police at Area ‘M’ Command, Idimu, after which the fake prophet was arrested and charged to court with criminally obtaining sex through and unlawful carnal knowledge under false pretence and stealing under the Criminal Code.

When the charges were read to him, Adoeyoe pleaded not guilty Magistrate Adeyemi granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum while he was ordered to be remanded in prison pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
