According the Mirror.com.uk, Melany Joyce Alexander is being accused of shame her child into getting better grades by sending her into class with a T-shirt daubed with a message about her earning F’s at school.

A mother has been arrested for child abuse after she allegedly whipped her daughter with a belt and forced her to wear a T-shirt with humiliating details about her poor school grades.

The child was beaten with a 'leather belt with holes with metal divots’, that left impressions on her arms, neck, chest, back and legs.
It is alleged that Alexander then sent her daughter into school wearing a white T-shirt covered in black pen with a message to school pals.
The handwritten T-shirt had details about how the pupil only achieved F grades at the school, and warned friends away.

Potential boyfriends were also warned away with the message: "back off before I get another good woopin like I got last night.”
The T-shirt also said: "My (days) eating French Fries and being a social butterfly are over because I know why my parents send me to school," it reads in black ink.
It added that the girl was banned from having any friends until her grades were brought up to C's or better.
"So unless you are helping me with this goal ... back off!!!" it warns.
When the child arrived at West Hernando Middle School, north of Tampa, last Friday, teachers called police after becoming concerned about her welfare.

The Department of Children and Families decided the alleged punishment was “excessive” and Alexander was arrested.
