Prosecutor, Chief Inspector Faustina Celestina Anaman told the court that the victim lives with her parents in Kokoase, while the accused who doubles as a fashion designer uses part of his tailoring shop as his place of abode close to the victim's parent’s house, the GNA reported.

The news agency further reported the prosecution as saying that, in the second week of July 2018, at about 05:30 hours, whilst the victim was bathing behind their house, the accused who was then lying on a table in front of his tailoring shop started peeping at and admiring her.

Apparently having been aroused, the assemblyman lured the minor into his tailoring shop where he allegedly defiled her.

Typical of such cases, pistol man gave the victim GHȼ2.00 after easing his sexual thirst and warned her as usual not to disclose the shameful incident to anyone.

However, the victim later narrated her ordeal to her mother who filed a complaint with the police in Enchi and a medical form was issued for the treatment of the minor.

A medical examination by the superintendent of the Enchi government hospital on July 28, 2019 showed that the youngster was indeed abused.

The assemblyman who had then gone into hiding was found out and arrested on August 5, 2019.
