Female passenger molested for sleeping during flight

The woman got up to go to the bathroom and noticed that her vaginal area was sore, according to the court filings.

Nadeem Mehmood Quraishi, 42, assaulted the woman on the plane

A New York man was arrested aboard an Emirates plane on Monday for allegedly slathering hand lotion on a sleeping female passenger and molesting her on a 13-hour flight from Dubai.

When questioned about the alleged sexual assault, Nadeem Mehmood Quraishi reportedly told flight attendants the victim 'enjoyed it because she did not resist.'

Once the plane landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport, Quraishi, 42, from Staten Island, was taken into custody and charged with sexual contact without consent.

According to a criminal complaint obtained by The Smoking Gun, the victim said she took an anti-anxiety medication after boarding the plane and dozed off about an hour into the New York-bound flight.

She awoke a few hours later, only to discover her arms, chest and upper legs sleek with lotion.

The woman recalled that Quraishi, who was seated next to her in row 45, asked her 'whether she had a good nap.'

The female passenger also realized that the bottle of hand lotion she had placed in the pocket of the seat in front of her was missing.

She then discovered that her 'underwear had been shifted and that lotion was in her vaginal area and on her underwear.'

When she returned to her seat, the woman asked Quraishi where her lotion was. When the man handed her to bottle, she alerted the crew that something happened to her while she slept.

The court documents stated that when flight attendants asked Quraishi about what happened, he allegedly admitted to rubbing lotion on his fellow passenger’s 'arms, shoulders, and legs, and used the lotion in her vaginal area.'

The 42-year-old Staten Island man, who reportedly manages a Subway eatery, allegedly told the cabin crew he thought the woman 'needed it' and 'enjoyed it.'

'The defendant also told the flight attendants that he liked it and that it happened to him as a child,' the complaint read.

Quraishi made his initial court appearance Tuesday and was released on $50,000 bond.

A federal judge ordered Quraishi to surrender his passport, not travel outside New York without permission and have no contact with the alleged victim.
