The Judge stated, “I will sentence the accused person to 15 years imprisonment since the victim is a helpless 11-year-old imbecile who the accused should have had pity on, instead of taking advantage of her,” she stated.

According to the state prosecutor, Chief Inspector of Police J.B. Asante, on March 7, 2015 at about 6 a.m., Ali spotted the victim sitting alone in front of her house while her mother was busy arranging her wares in her shop.

He said Ali lured his victim into a weedy and uncompleted building adjacent the victim’s house and sexually abused her.

After the act, the prosecution said Ali ran out of the building but was seen by a witness whose house was attached to the uncompleted building.

After some minutes, the victim came out of the building crying and complained of severe abdominal pains to the witness who took her to the mother.
