A 24-year-old Japanese man identified as Ikki Kotsugai, has been arrested by the police after he attacked his wife's lover and cut off the man's penis and flushed the organ down the toilet.

Local media reports that Kotsugai, a Tokyo graduate student, may have acted out of revenge over his wife’s romantic involvement with the 42-year-old victim who is her co-worker and became suspicious of her closeness to the man after his wife began displaying the man’s photo at their home.
Kotsugai, in a fit of anger, stormed the man's law office in the morning of the incident and dealing the man several blows, pinned him down, pulling down the victim’s trouser and severed his instrument of destruction with a garden shear he carried along for the purpose.
He was arrested shortly after the attack and he told the police that he had flushed the 'satanic snake' down the toilet.
