According to the Scottish Daily Record, the 26-year-old Dubliner Niamh Geaney, and her two friends, Terence Manzanga and Harry English, from Dublin City University, made a bet to see who could find their doppelgänger within 28 days. What a challenge!

But in only two weeks Niamh was the first to find a potential match in a girl known as Karen. The experiment goes to show the power of social media as the trio publicised their campaign across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

The have also decided to try help everyone else find their doppelgangers as they’ve been inundated with people looking for their own Twin Strangers.
