A 27-year-old man identified as Eric Djadatey has met his untimely death at Shekinnah Lodge Hotel near Abesim in the Sunyani when drowned in a swimming pool.The incident was reported to the Regional Police headquarters by a taxi driver name Kofi Nelson, on January 19.

Man, 27 Dies In A Pool While Having Fun
A 27-year-old man identified as Eric Djadatey has met his untimely death at Shekinnah Lodge Hotel near Abesim in the Sunyani when drowned in a swimming pool.

Confirming the news to Ghana News Agency Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Christopher Tawiah, said the deceased went to the hotel with friends to have fun but met his death when he decide to take a swim in the pool.
He continued, His friends drew the attention of the pool attendants when they realise he had stayed under the water for long.
The pool attendant went to the rescue of Djadatey and he was rushed to the Regional Hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival with blood oozing from his nostrils.

ASP Tawiah said the Police had since gone to the Hospital to inspect the body which had been deposited at the mortuary pending autopsy, he conclueded that the police are still do some probing on the case.
