A man said to be an pastor of the Ahafo Hwediem branch of the Presbyterian Church in the Asutifi North District of the Brong Ahafo region has shot himself dead.

Presby pastor shoots himself to death
The catechist of the Presbyterian Church in Ahafo Hwediem in the Brong Ahafo shot and killed himself.

Alexander Asamoah, aged 52, was alleged to have shot himself after he suffered from malaria for the two prior to his death.
Neighbors who heard the gun shots broke into his room and rushed him to the hospital where he died.
ASP Kweku Broni said the police have been to the crime scene and investigations have commenced into the matter.
