A 24-year-old man who carried out a series of raids on petrol stations and convenience stores has been jailed for nine after boasting about his crimes on Facebook.

Career criminal Jordan Sim-Mutch made no secret of his villainy - even posting image of his toddler son holding cash and imitating his gangland gestures.

Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester heard how Sim- Mutch and his gang were involved in 29 robberies and burglaries across Stockport, stealing cash and thousands of pounds of cigarettes.

They were caught in November 2013 but were granted bail and went straight back to crime, carrying out their raids in daytime to honour their curfews because they were all electronically tagged.

Metal worker Sim-Mutch pleaded guilty to conspiracy to rob, conspiracy to commit burglary, conspiracy to steal and conspiracy to possess an imitation firearm.

Explaining why he got involved, Sim-Mutch told his barrister: “Well, I’m just a big daft lad, aren’t I?”

Five others in the gang, all from Stockport, admitted conspiracy to rob and were sentenced to terms from eight and- a-half to three years.
