Wedding guest mistakenly shoots groom to death during celebration
Deepak Kumar died after midnight at the hospital where he was rushed to for treatment. Police said there is an ongoing investigation and we are trying to ascertain the source of his weapon.

Deepak Kumar died after midnight at the hospital where he was rushed to for treatment.
Confirming the incident to local media, Deputy Commissioner of Delhi police, Nupur Prasad said: "He collapsed and was rushed to hospital where he was declared dead after midnight."
He added that the bride’s family had identified the said guest who fired the shot, saying there "is an ongoing investigation and we are trying to ascertain the source of his weapon."

Speaking from an eyewitness’ point of view, one of the wedding guests by name, Amit said: “a couple of people were carrying guns for celebratory firing, which is considered a tradition in the family.”
According to Africanspotlight.com wielding and firing of guns at weddings and other celebrations is a common practice in India, though it is unlawful.
Probably, relying on the law to prosecute this unnamed guest may bring an end to the illegality considered a tradition.
