The Electricity company of Ghana is required to shed a total of 390 megawatts of power Monday.
ECG sheds 390MW of power today
This is upon the request of the Ghana Grid Company Gridco, due to a massive drop in generation owing to some temporary problems affecting some of the major thermal plants in the country.
According to regions:
Greater Accra will shed a total of (130MW),
Ashanti (80MW),
Tema (60MW),
Western (40MW),
Central (30MW),
Eastern (30MW)
Volta (20MW)
ECG is to shed load between 6 am and 6pm due to the insufficient power generation, and it must be according to the schedule below
Accra… 130MW Ashanti…. 80MW
Tema…….. 60MW
Western…. 40MW
Central….. 30MW
Eastern…. 30MW
Volta…… 20MW
Total….. 390MW
