An apple a day indeed keeps away the doctor and protects your cervix more than you think.

Apples are rich in flavonoids, which may be key in fighting various cancers. Make sure you’re keeping the peel on your apple, too, as that’s where most of the flavonoids are concentrated.

When it comes to protecting your cervix, orange and yellow-coloured fruits and veggies should be in your diet. These foods, such as carrots when eaten raw or added to stews and soups, contain beta-carotene and carotenoids that help fight damage from carcinogens.
