We are sorry – 4syte Music Video Awards organizers

Organizers of the annual 4syte Music Video Awards have rendered an apology to the general public for the inconvenience created at the 7th edition of the event.

The event was held on Saturday, November 14 2015

The event held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) was characterised by a number of mishaps which has eventually led to some patrons and industry watchers chastising organizers.

Among their misgivings are how the event started behind schedule and dragged.

Addressing these concerns on Radio Univers’ on Monday, a member of the organising team, Ezekiel Tetteh, popularly known as Stip told host, Abrantepa that they were hit by a challenge beyond their control.

“People are complaining about the playback. The issue is, we had a serious problem. Our hard drive crashed. I think the power at AICC blew the hard drive. So we tried to do something about it by bringing the files from the machine but we noticed that it would delay the show so we had to go without it. We wanted to delay the show a bit to see whether we could salvage the hard drive and render all the nominations from the original machine but we noticed it would delay the show. That was what caused the delay,” he explained.

Adding: “It was a high challenge but we apologise to the public. We know some of you are disappointed. It happens.”

Stip indicated that all criticisms from the public have been noted and as organisers, they would work on their shortcomings.

“We are putting together all criticisms and contributions so we improve next year. We had few challenges which we will make sure we work on,” he noted.
