Samini donating his Xmas gift to the aged at Aya Community Clinic

A day after Samini wowed fans from Awiebo and Esiama at a Boxing Day Street Carnival in the Western Region, he made a surprise visit to the Aya Community Centre where he presents special Christmas gifts to some aged folks at the facility.

Samini congratulated the Minister for the priceless edifice and was very excited to see hardworking politicians like him who are closer to the people and attend to the needs of his Constituency. "I am very impressed. I am inspired as well. At first we only have these facilities in USA and Europe but to see it happen here in Ghana, championed by you (Hon. Kofi Buah) is very laudable. One day we will all grow old and definitely would need some attention as these. I hope other politicians, individuals and organizations can replicate the same at other parts of the country. I came here to play a music concert and I find it necessary to come here and make some small Christmas donations to you with the help of the Honourable Minister, Emmanuel Kofi Armah Buah," Samini added.

"The facility hosts about 85 to 100 people on a daily basis. We've been able to keep it running and get as many aged folks to the place where they have fun, do some simple works outs to keep them healthy, medical attention and also engage them in conversations with the younger ones and the kids so the younger generation can learn from them. It is my hope and prayer that we will be able to have the same facility in other constituencies across the country to cater for them," Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Armah Buah corroborated.

Aya Community Centre, is an ultra modern facility, basically designed for the aged. It was put up by the Member of Parliament for Ellembelle and Minister of Petroleum, Hon. Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah and his development partners - it is a recreational facility to give holistic health care to the aged and also serve as a recreational center for people of all ages as well.

In Ghana, the aged mostly in the rural areas of the country lack facilities that make life easier for them in terms of health and recreation.

The multi purpose facility has a clinic, gym, restaurant, a football pitch and a play ground for kids.
